2. Key Responsibilities

As an SAP MM Consultant, you will be instrumental in the full lifecycle implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP MM solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Participating in business requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation related to procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
• Designing, configuring, and implementing SAP MM modules, including Master Data (Material Master, Vendor Master, Service Master), Purchasing (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Contracts, Scheduling Agreements), Inventory Management (Goods Receipts, Goods Issues, Stock Transfers, Physical Inventory), and Invoice Verification.
• Developing detailed functional specifications for custom developments (RICEF objects - Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) and working closely with technical teams.
• Conducting unit testing, integration testing, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are defect-free.
• Providing post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and resolving SAP MM related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, test scripts, and user manuals.
• Delivering end-user training and support to facilitate smooth adoption of new functionalities and best practices.
• Collaborating with other SAP module consultants (e.g., SD, FI/CO, PP, WM) to ensure seamless integration and cross-functional process alignment.
• Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements within the SAP MM landscape.
• Assisting in data migration activities from legacy systems to SAP MM.

3. Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in SAP MM and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

• Experience: 3-6 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM module configuration, implementation, and support.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Core Technical Competencies:
  • Proficient in configuring and customizing SAP MM processes across purchasing, inventory management, and invoice verification.
  • Solid understanding of SAP MM master data objects and their integration.
  • Experience with various procurement processes (e.g., standard, consignment, subcontracting, third-party).
  • Familiarity with integration points between SAP MM and other core modules like FI/CO, SD, and PP.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience in conducting testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT).
• General Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

4. Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certification in Material Management (SAP MM).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA MM functionalities and implementation.
• Knowledge of ABAP debugging to assist with issue resolution and interface analysis.
• Exposure to project methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Experience in a manufacturing, retail, or logistics industry.
• Understanding of EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) or WM (Warehouse Management) integration with MM.
